GARMENT CARE

Most of our solid single color garments without ribbon trim, piping, or embroidery may be machine washed with care. Any garment with more than one color, ribbon trim, piping, or embroidery requires dry cleaning by a professional dry cleaner.

CHOIR ROBES

During the times your robes are being worn, avoid jewelry with rough edges that might snag your robe and be sure to keep Velcro cuffs closed. Watch out for ragged corners or splinters on hymnals or pews. Heavy perfumes and shaving lotions should be avoided - these odors can penetrate fabric. Use care to keep makeup off necklines of robes and stoles. Makeup bases contain oils that can stain fabric. Avoid spraying hairspray while wearing your choir robe. Do not eat or drink anything other than water while wearing your robe to avoid food or beverage stains.
Between wearings, hang your choir robes on our contoured robe hanger, designed to preserve yoke shape and prevent rust stains or crease lines caused by wire hangers. Zip robes or fasten the hook and eye closure to keep it properly aligned on the hanger. Close any Velcro closures such as cuffs.
Don't wait until choir robes or stoles show significant soiling or heavy makeup stains to clean. Schedule cleaning or laundering of robes on a regular basis - at least once a year, more often if your robes feature high necklines.

Hang on contoured hanger to complete drying, and smooth out any wrinkles by hand while robes are still damp. Any remaining wrinkles should be lightly steamed out with a hand steamer or steam iron on polyester setting.

Caps must be dry cleaned by a professional dry cleaner. We also recommend storing the cap between wearings with soft tissue paper stuffed inside to help maintain shape.

PULPIT ROBES

After each wearing, hang your robe on our contoured robe hanger to maintain yoke shape. Zip the robe, or fasten the hook and eye closure, to keep it properly aligned on the hanger. Allow time for any residual body heat or moisture to dissipate before storing in a closet.
Don't wait until there is heavy soiling around the neckline or inside the cuffs to clean. Between wearings, hang your robe on our contoured robe hanger, designed to preserve yoke shape and prevent rust stains or crease lines caused by wire hangers. Zip robes or fasten the hook and eye closure to keep it properly aligned on the hanger.
Don't wait until there is heavy soiling around the neckline or inside the cuffs to clean. Schedule regular dry cleanings. It also helps to rotate wear between more than one robe.

COMMUNION TABLE LINENS

Viva is a non-yellowing 100% polyester fabric which resists soiling and staining, and makes caring for your communion linens easy. We recommend pre-spotting to remove any stains as quickly as possible following a spill, and regular washing. To machine wash, use warm water, gentle or permanent press cycle, with mild detergent. Machine dry low or on permanent press heat, and remove promptly from dryer to reduce wrinkling. If your communion table linens require a light touch up, use the polyester setting on your iron, with or without steam. Dry cleaning by a professional dry cleaner is also acceptable.
Store flat, wrapped in acid free tissue, or folded over a fabric wrapped pants hanger with a breathable dust cover. Brown stains sometimes appear on stored linens, caused by particles of iron in hard water. Always use soft, or softened, water to wash linens.

PARAMENTS

Due to the high quality of fabrics and trims used, paraments must be dry cleaned by a professional dry cleaner on a regular basis. Schedule cleanings at least once a year, if these items are regularly used. Between periods of use, store flat, wrapped in acid free tissue, or folded over a fabric wrapped pants hanger with a breathable dust cover.

BAPTISMAL ROBES

Exposure to high chlorine levels tends to prematurely break down fabric fibers. To extend the life of baptismal robes, we recommend laundering following each use.
Pre-treat any spots and stains as soon as possible, prior to washing. Zip up each robe and fasten the hook and eye closure at the neckline prior to placing in the washing machine. Place no more than two or three baptismal robes of the same color in the wash at the same time. Do not mix black and white baptismal robes in the same wash load. Use warm water on gentle or permanent press cycle, with mild detergent. Machine dry low or on permanent press heat, and remove promptly from dryer to reduce wrinkling. Hang robes while still slightly damp on contoured hanger. Zip robes or fasten the hook and eye closure to keep it properly aligned on the hanger, and smooth out any wrinkles by hand.
Baptismal robes may also be hung to dry. Be sure to use a nonmetal hanger when drying, as metal hangers may rust and spot the robe.
Once robes are thoroughly dry, hang in a closet or storage unit until needed. Do not store while still damp.

 

How do your pricing and promotional discounts work?

Prices shown on this web site reflect the prices in our current catalogs and Price Lists. Qwick-Ship® item descriptions may include a “Custom Made Value” price. This price reflects the cost of an identical item if ordered custom made in the same fabrics, trims, and colors as shown.
We offer quantity discounts on select items. For these items, the list price of each item is charged for quantities of 1-5. Quantities of 6 or more of receive the discounted price as shown on the item page. The discounted price for quantities of 6 or more will be displayed in your shopping cart when you are ready to check out.
Occasionally we offer sales or price reductions on select items. These reduced prices are available for a limited time, and subject to change without notice. Reduced pricing on sales with a given end date are considered to be ended effective midnight on the night of the date. Orders must be placed on our web site or received by our factory by midnight of that date to receive sale pricing.

How accurate are product colors shown?

We make every effort to accurately display the colors of our products. However, we cannot guarantee your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
If color is critical, contact your Murphy Robes representative for a free fabric swatch. If you are ordering choir robes, we encourage you to examine an actual fabric sample in your lighting, so you will be assured of your selection before you place your order.

What about product availability?

Qwick-Ship® products shown are ready for shipment from our factory the next business day following receipt of order. Each item is available exactly as shown and described, and in the sizes specified. In spite of our best efforts, occasionally a specific size of an item may be temporarily out of stock. You may prefer to order an alternate size or item in those situations, or may backorder.
Custom made items may be ordered through your Murphy Robes representative, who will also assist you with measurements, fabric samples, and sample garments. Custom made items require a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing and shipment following factory receipt of complete order information.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

We are required by law to collect sales tax. Tax exempt organizations purchasing through this web site have the opportunity to provide their Tax Exempt ID Number during checkout. If you submit your Tax Exempt ID Number, you are not required to pay sales tax. If you do not have a non-profit Tax Exempt ID number, you will have to pay sales tax. Tax Exempt ID Numbers used for purchases on this web site are reported to the State Department of Revenue to comply with State regulations.

How do I change or cancel an order?

If you need to make any changes to, or cancel your order, call 800-552-3228 to speak with one of our sales associates. Please note we may begin processing your order immediately after you place it, and it may not be possible to change items on existing orders.

Can I add a monogram to a Qwick-Ship® product?

Each Qwick-Ship® item is available exactly as shown and described, and in the sizes specified. If you prefer to order an item custom made in other sizes, fabrics, colors, or with other details than shown here, we’ll be happy to oblige. Ask your Murphy Robes representative for assistance with ordering and pricing. Please allow a minimum or 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing and shipping of any custom made items.

Can I add doctoral bars to my Qwick-Ship® robe?

Any changes to a Qwick-Ship® product would require that product to become custom made and would require 4 to 6 weeks manufacturing time. However, we stock preassembled Velvet doctoral bars in most colors matching the Velvet panels on our Qwick-Ship® pulpit robes. You can order these Velvet bars at the time you place your Qwick-Ship® robe order, and a local tailor can sew them on for you. Please ask your Murphy Robes representative for assistance.

How do I order an item custom made?

Contact your Murphy Robes representative at 800-552-3228 for assistance with your order. Custom made items require a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks for manufacturing and shipment following factory receipt of complete order information.

How can we identify our new choir robes for the choir members?

Some choirs prefer to use a robe numbering system. Your Murphy Robes representative can provide you a copy of your robe order, with the names of each choir member, his/her measurements, and robe numbers. If you ask robes be labeled by number, you can reassign the robe when there is a change in membership. Or, if you prefer, we can label each robe with the individual choir member's name inside.

Our choir bought robes several years ago, and need 10 more for new members. Can we get robes that match?

If your original order was with Murphy Robes, we can most likely match your original order. We recommend sending in one of your old robes so we can ensure style and color matching. Even if your old robes are black or white, dye lot variations occur, as well as some color changes over time. We can't guarantee a perfect match, but we'll do our best.
